Liked: The bed was comfortable, the towels in the bathroom were clean, the room itself seemed clean. Nice and quiet other than the heater which was extremely loud when it kicked in (woke me up twice).
Disliked: My sheet had an old blood stain on it as did the mattress cover, the bathroom door looked like someone tried to bust into the bathroom. When I reserved I specifically chose a room with single queen, even when offered an “upgrade” to 2 queens but I got the 2 queens anyway. Breakfast was mushy and not much selection.

Disappointing experience

Liked: The staff, for the most part, seemed nice enough.
Disliked: When we arrived, they tried to put us in a much smaller room than I had booked. When I showed them my reservation that explained what I had booked, they looked confused and said their building didn't have such rooms. They said they would need to "update" their bookings system. They did, however, put us into a slightly better room, but it was still not what we expected or needed. The breakfast was poor. The building seemed dirty -- the kids complained about the "funky smell". I realized that we didn't have toilet paper and when I went to the front desk, the woman looked around and then said she'd need to send someone up; I asked if there was a public washroom in the meantime and she said no. I went up to my room and waited. Then I called down because I was getting desperate and she got frustrated with me and annoyed said that she'd send someone in a few minutes. Someone did eventually come, and crisis was averted , but it was an unpleasant experience. The curtains didn't fully cover the windows and with very bright lights just outside, we had to sleep with the covers pulled over our faces to shield us from blinding lights that would keep us awake. The heater was really loud and kept waking us up as it turned on and off throughout the night. We had terrible sleep. The walls are really thin and we could hear conversations happening in the next room. From the tone, I know they were not speaking loudly. I could go on.
