Six Nations weekend
Liked: Location as we were there for Six Nations. Staff were very helpful & friendly. Room clean and good quality toiletries.
Disliked: The room was too warm for us despite the air con and cooling tower. Bar restaurant, although it was good, we expected more choice. No pubs nearby.

Lovely place but noisy neighbour
Liked: Our suite was large and very clean.
Disliked: The suite had an adjoining door to the next room which allowed all the noise in even when closed. I couldn’t sleep as the person in the next room started making telephone calls from 5:45am and continued all morning until I left.

Great location …. But that’s...
Liked: The location is its best feature. But this is the only reason we booked it and the only good thing.
Disliked: There are too few staff at the desk so you wait in a long queue every time you have to engage with the front desk. They don’t tell you in advance where the parking is. The pool and spa requires a padlock which isn’t made clear to you until you go there and get sent back to the front desk. We arrived at 16:00 with a 5 year old desperate for a swim- 30 min to check in, 30 min to find out where the pool was, 20 min to wait in the queue again to try get a padlock. To be told they have run out but might have one. To eventually get a padlock and get to the swimming pool 17:50 when the swim session for families ends at 18:00. The restaurant is abysmal. The food options are terrible. Near impossible to eat healthy. “Superfood” salad was some green leaves 3 cubes of sweet potato and 2 cubes of avocado with some pumpkin seeds. Tried to book a table for lunch on the match day. No problem. Except on the day the booking didn’t exist. Also wasn’t clear that the they serve a match day reduced menu. Had asked for a later check out - was told we could stay till 1pm. Went for a swim and came back and we couldn’t access the room as the keycard had been blocked. Back to the front desk for another wait. Whole place seems poorly staffed and all the staff seem new or not familiar with anything. Our family room had a door to the adjoining room. This must have somehow compromised the sound-proofing as at 23:30 when the neighbours came back talking in their room it sounded like they were in our room. It woke my son. But equally when my son woke up at 06:30 it was pretty clear that he woke them up too! Family room, can sleep more than 2 people so why stock it for only 2 people to have tea/coffee or only 2 bath towels ?So many things seem really poorly thought out. To be fair we knew the reviews were bad before went. The only reason this place has business is because of the location.

Nice visit for a trip...
Liked: Room was really spacious. We had a toddler with us so had a lot of luggage, including a pram and there was plenty of room for everything. We had a double bed each so it was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good .
Disliked: Although we had access to the leisure facilities it wasn't really child friendly and the staff were unhelpful.
