Liked: Absolutely nothing
Disliked: Firstly, the customer service was appalling. Gabriella was polite, but after I was passed over to her manager it became clear that he had no intention of talking to me— just over me. He was rude, dismissive and unprofessional, and though I was told that my request could be accommodated at first, after the sixth phone call trying to sort this out it became clear this was not actually the case. Upon arrival, I was informed that Apple Pay is not accepted, which is baffling to me as this is a five star hotel. This was not the end of it though— due to this payment policy I was told that all mini-bar items would be removed from my room. Whilst I had no intention of touching the mini-bar, having a member of staff enter my room and spend five minutes awkwardly clearing out the fridge felt uncomfortable and punishing. The room itself could not be called one belonging to a five star hotel. None of the main lights worked, nor the bedside lights. Not to mention— if you’re assigned a low-numbered room such as 402, you better be prepared for an inconvenient trek across the entire hotel. I’ve stayed at countless hotels across London for work and this was, without a doubt, the worst experience I have had. For a hotel that advertises itself as five-star, it doesn’t feel like that at all. Avoid at all costs.The hotel can apologise all they want but it won’t fill the £400+ whole in my bank account
