Very comfortable and quiet

Liked: The room was small but just enough space for one person. Everything was clean and very comfortable. I liked the decoration as well. The personnel was very friendly and helpful (except two of the younger women that didn’t even greet when I left or came back). I liked that the room was not directly inbetween other rooms and that the hotel was in a side street. It was super quiet
Disliked: It was really cold in my room and heating didn’t work. On my last two days the heater in the bathroom was completely turned off the whole time and the floor in there was so cold that it hurt. Good thing that in the rest of the room was a nice soft carpet. The heavy door and the fire swing door were really inconvenient. If I closed the door first it was almost impossible to get out. The swing door should go the other side. Unfortunately the WiFi didn’t work for me either. I don’t know if it was an issue of my iPhone…

Perfect location for a short...

Liked: The staff were friendly, the location was great. The breakfast was also very good.
Disliked: The room was way to hot and even with the window open in January we had to use the airconditioning to cool the room down which is insane from an energy efficiency perspective

Exceptional

An elegant yet affordable old...

Liked: The convenient location close to Earls Court tube station (about a 5-minute walk) yet tucked away in a quiet street. I also appreciated the elegant yet affordable old English style of this hotel, a nice addition to my British vacation experience.

Wonderful stay with friendly staff

Liked: I truly enjoyed my time at London Lodge Hotel. It was great that the staff is available 24/7. Late night check in was a breeze as I was greeted by a warm and friendly receptionist. They are also responsive to my queries before arrival. The breakfast is delicious with warm bread, freshly made pastries, coffee, milk, cereals, yogurt, and a variety of fresh fruits. The room has all that I need. The bed is very comfortable and the room is clean and quiet. The hotel is within walking distance to parks, grocers, restaurants, and museums. I would love to visit again when I am in London!

Liked: Everything was almost perfect. Room was clean and dig. Breakfast was good. Stuff was very friendly and helpful. Location of the hotel is next to the tube.There were only 2 things I didn't like:1. The bed was too soft 2. Room didn't have proper soundproof isolation

Liked: Quite, clean and in a location close to restaurants, bars and transport links.
Disliked: Breakfast starts too late to suit most business people's needs.

Best place to start in...

Liked: The location of this hotel - in a quiet burb just south of Kensington Garden - was ideal for our first visit to London. The neighborhood is peaceful and historic, quiet and welcoming. We discovered many local gems and were able to walk to Notting Hill through beautiful pathways and trace the steps of Freddie Mercury. The Earls Court tube station is only a hundred meters away, and restaurants and shops abound in every direction. The staff - and the first one we met (Tamako) - were helpful, accommodating and friendly, as well as polite. The owner was present on our first morning at breakfast and made us feel very welcome, telling us more about the history of her place. We felt very safe and cared for at the hotel, with every request granted. It's also small enough to navigate and have access to rooms and amenities in just a few steps. There is a small outside sitting area adjacent to the old houses, and in good weather, this is quite pleasant. This hotel is frequented by people from all around the world, and it was wonderful to be in their company as well as among the international staff who took care of us.
Disliked: There was little to dislike. Our maid service forgot to replenish coffee cups, but these were easy enough to get at the front desk. The hotel is in an older building, so there's a bit of wear and tear, but such things did not prevent us from loving it there.
