Beautiful room with a stunning...
Liked: The room was beautiful, with a stunning view of the castle. The decor was also lovely, adding to the charm of the stay. The breakfast was excellent and the staff in general was very kind; the manager, in particular, was exceptionally friendly and helpful—truly the icing on the cake.

Disliked: A bit Spartan. No food or bar -Would have been good to have a cup of tea or a beer.

Exceptional
Liked: The location is very central to all the sights, the managers and staff very helpful and friendly. The bonus of a small boutique hotel there is a cafe for coffee/tea/ pastry and bar so very relaxed atmosphere to return there after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast healthy and delicious. Highly recommend to stay.

Liked: Excellent friendly informative manager. Comfortable bed . Nice little café,/ bar on ground floor. lift.
Disliked: A kettle although there is a little cafe on ground floor.

Sam turned it around!
Liked: Location was excellent, right opposite the castle.Sam…….he was a star. He turned around what had been a bit of a nightmare the previous night. We had been given the wrong door code to access our room so for about 45 mins we had no way of getting upstairs. Eventually we found an emergency number which we called and gained access.Sam was brilliant with us the next morning chatty, gave us a complimentary breakfast and smoothed the situation. Every hotel needs a ‘Sam’ and he definitely should get a promotion/pay rise!
Disliked: Being given the wrong key code.
