Liked: Everything about the accommodations at this hotel was excellent. It was impeccably clean, meticulously well maintained, and the staff were exceptionally professional. Kudos to Brooke at the concierge desk for her attention to customer experience. This hotel is the only one with a skybridge directly into the convention center. Major props to two heroes who manned the huge bar alone on Sunday night, and the two folks who acted as servers back and forth from the kitchen with food when the storm hit and the rest of the staff weren't able to get into work: The bar was packed with delayed fencing competitors and stranded travelers, but these two guys and the 'servers' kept their cool and everyone got served as fast as they could, all night, without a sharp word or so much as an exasperated look. The cafe had great breakfast-on-the-run choices too.
Disliked: The $250+/night price-tag was a little hard to swallow, but needing access to the convention center in a major snow storm meant this was the only choice. They have a wonderful coffee & snacks cafe, but I confess the snacks were a bit too fru-fru/'gourmet' in choice of flavors to be readily desirable to eat - yes, in a pinch, if there's no other choice, you'd eat them. Also, grossly over-priced. Likewise, the breakfast burrito, while great, was over-spiced, and the 'sausage+egg muffins' were spoiled with pesto - pesto is not a good breakfast condiment/dressing to put into pre-prepared items. Lastly, the lids on the coffee cups don't fit properly at this cafe and I was scalded by leaking latte twice. But all of these things are minor details that they could tweak readily, against the backdrop of an otherwise 10-out-of-10 experience.
