Liked: There was a working tv, kettle and plenty of tea and coffee.Four pillows and towels were a bonus.The free wifi was effective.
Disliked: My stay was miserable.First shock was entering the property which is a working building site-renos.Next came the spiral staircase of many steps. I didn't carry my luggage upstairs as too dangerous.I felt really unsafe.Next disappointment was finding my room was connected to another via a flimsy door. I heard everything going on in the next room, and vice versa.The floorboards creaked with every step.The front door wasn't sealed, and the corridor was visible through the cracks, as was the lighting.The bathroom area was very old. Water temperature was not steady.No toiletries except for 3 small handsoaps.The most shocking of all was the unexpected racket from about 6am from guests whom I assumed were FIFO workers or working on the building site property.At about 7am there were workers using their cutting saws, hammers, drills and dumping rubbish into bins. I opened my window curtains to see a worker walking on the roof outside my room, inspecting something. Creepy.Nowhere was I made aware that my room would be substandard and the environment would be noisy and dirty.The property should be upfront and transparent about the present situation and offer a big discount for the inconvenience.I couldn't travel elsewhere as the room at $166 per night was already paid for.
