Exceptional

Swanky romantic getaway.

Liked: The look, it is swanky and modern. A boutique style of stay.
Disliked: No parking. Expensive parking rates if they have availability in their garage. Very thin walls and only one working elevator.

Liked: Super spacious apartment, modern furniture and appliances, comfy bed- everything you need for a short or a long stay. Presence of 24 hour service desk staff was of great help.
Disliked: The WiFi strength could have been better.

I would definitely stay here...

Liked: Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The apartment was clean and quiet. I liked the neighbourhood; people were friendly.
Disliked: Nothing.

Disappointing

Liked: I liked the location, it was perfect for my evening plans. The lady at the front desk was incredibly helpful and friendly.
Disliked: The parking and elevator situation. My parking pass was not in the room, then there was issues getting a pass and figuring out my spot number. Then someone was in my spot. There was no signal in the garage so I could not pull the pictures to find the right elevator and got stuck in the next building. It took an hour to get in the room, get the parking situation and get to my room. Only one elevator was working. Then as I was getting ready a while later, I was told I had to change parking spots. The room was clean enough, but the main hotel felt unclean and I could see the roach traps.

Luxury hotel in a dangerous...

Liked: Very spacious, great facilities, everything brand new. The kitchen was top-notch with a Miele fridge, branded silverware, cooking essentials and a dining table. Everything we wanted was there, including a smart TV with apple play!
Disliked: I was carjacked and assaulted upon arrival while I was unloading the suitcases. I had parked the car just in front of the hotel. A gang of four attacked me with pepper spray and started beating and punching me to get the keys of the car. I run towards the hotel door but they were faster and grabbed me and continued hitting me. I ended up in the hospital. Washington DC is a dangerous city with a homicide rate well above the US average. This hotel is in the city and while the neighbourhood looks safe, it proved that it isn’t. If you need to stay in the city, this is a good hotel, but make sure you arrive during daylight (I arrived at 8pm), and you book the car park which costs 45eur per night. I am glad that I came out of this event alive and hope that the city will work seriously on its crime rate.
