Hidden Gem
Liked: My wife and I came here for a last minute overnight break. We chose based on reviews and they did not dissapoint. The staff are exceptional , warm friendly and generally a pleasure to be around. We spent a few hours in bar where we played some pool etc . The locals were friendly and made us feel welcomed also. The restraunt was fully booked but Fiona and her team made sure we would get a table and again did not dissapoint the food was excellent. I had the steak and it would give any steak house a run for it's money cooked to perfection.I'm being picky here but the only drawback was the bed was a little uncomfortable however I certainly wouldn't be put off by that.

Want to feel welcome and...
Liked: Loads of character, terrific home made fresh cooked food, very cosy with huge real wood inglenook fires, perfect on frosty winter nights. Most of all the staff and Fiona the owner, within an hour we felt so welcomed and appreciated , as if they had known us for years. The bedroom was very comfortable and very clean.Built in the 1630’s this place could tell so many stories but probably its most famous visitor in the 1960’s was non other than Elizabeth Taylor. We will most certainly return in Summer
Disliked: Nothing at all
