Linthwaite House is located on a hilltop overlooking Windermere making it the perfect base from which to explore the scenic surroundings. Guests can enjoy activities such as boules or play chess on the giant outdoor chessboard. Linthwaite House offers luxurious accommodations with stylish individually designed bedrooms and bathrooms. Many overlook the lake and manicured gardens as well as the surrounding hills and mountains. Wednesdays to Sundays the on site fine dining restaurant Henrock by Simon Rogan serves dishes using local ingredients. The a la carte menu features small plates and sharing dishes. On Mondays and Tuesdays there is an all day dining menu available in the Bar & Conservatory area. There are two row boats available for guests to use. Inquire a Reception.

Perfect stay in a fabulous...

Liked: Beautiful hotel and a very warm welcome on arrival. A fabulous room with the comfiest bed. We ate in both the bar and at Henrock. Food was delicious

Exceptional hotel with outstanding service...

Liked: Fabulous hotel with beautiful views. Excellent staff. The service was outstanding. Very nice room with a small courtyard. Lots of interesting art to discover.
Disliked: Wine was expensive. Room was hot.

Wonderful ambience and a great...

Liked: Exceptional decor. The ambiance of the outdoor and indoor spaces is extremely well curated. The restaurant is outstanding and it was a nice change to have a fully a la carte high quality breakfast menu with no 'buffet' options.
Disliked: Rooms are perhaps a bit small. Underfloor heating in the bathroom was not working.
