Beautiful river views and friendly...
Liked: The room had a spectacular view of the river. The hotel is convenient to the city center with public transportation and l loved the option to watch the sun rise from the bridge or stroll along the Main river. The breakfast was fantastic and there is a wonderful Ethiopian restaurant nearby. Overall I had a fabulous stay and I will book again!
Disliked: Can't think of anything :-)

Excellent stay with mermerizing view
Liked: Excellent hotel. The view from the hotel is mermerizing. They got me 100EUR as a security deposit and it was refunded back to the credit card.
Disliked: Nothing.

A pleasant enough stay but...
Liked: The Lindner is in an excellent location right along the Main River and within easy and pleasant walking distance to the old city for restaurants and museums. Front desk staff were all helpful and friendly with our questions about getting around the city. We had a spacious one bedroom which was oddly shaped, likely because the building is octagonal. For some reason the only art on the wall was hung behind the free standing TV! Frankfurt is an airport transfer hub for many but we've now stayed there twice for extended stops in between flights to and from Africa and love the manageable scale of the city's downtown. The Gay Pride (Christopher Street Day) celebration is apparently smaller than other German cities’ but still a major event that we really enjoyed and it was easy walking distance or a tram ride to/from the hotel. The pool and spa amenities were also end of day enjoyments in a sun-filled space in the late afternoon. And the breakfast was ample and delicious with all the offerings of a superior German breakfast.
Disliked: However, the breakfast area itself was kind of cramped for the number of normal guests and absolutely crowded on Sunday during the weekend brunch making for a not so pleasant dining experience. There are only three elevators and one of them was out of service so for a multi-story building there was so much waiting! Part of the building is for long term residents so there were a lot of people wanting to use the elevators. We were on the sixth floor and started using the stairs to walk down despite inane signage that said don't use the stairs except during an emergency. While the pool and sauna were wonderful, the floor was always soaked and a slippery hazard. There's no one attending the space so sometimes there were no towels and certainly no one to mop the floor. The cleaning staff are apparently contract hires, not hotel staff so they are not at all customer service focused. We came back at 5pm one day when they were in the middle of cleaning our room (!) and they acted annoyed that we we were in their work space that was actually our room!

Very good
Liked: A very big room. Nice spa facilities. Depends on a taste but room design is very out fashioned, still the equipment is very expensive and nice - like going to reach family house where no renovation for 10-15years was done. Nice breakfast.
Disliked: Bit far from the city centre, around 20min walk (the walk you do is along the river which is the best place in Frankfurt so walk distance is compensated by a view)
