Superbly located for a nice...

Liked: The hotel is superbly located, near the Cologne train station and cathedral. The staff is friendly and helpful, both at the reception and at the bar/breakfast. They lend umbrellas if needed. Rooms are clean and comfortable.
Disliked: The cleaning staff only goes by once. Usually, when we go for breakfast (about 30 minutes) we put the "do not disturb" sign and take it off after we are good to go visit the city. At this hotel, they see the sign at breakfast time, ignore the room and don't come back. I had never seen this before.

Liked: Location is good. Walking distance to spots. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. We enjoyed the free coffee.
Disliked: There was only 1 staff at the counter and it took time to line up for check in/ out and speak to the staff.

Great hospitality

Liked: Excellent location. Close to many things. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Ate dinner at the BBQ restaurant which is attached. Very tasty food. The wait staff was also great. One waiter even walked around with our toddler so we could eat because all the baby chairs were being used.
Disliked: My room didn’t have any soap at the sink. But there was soap in the shower so it wasn’t too big of an issue.

Liked: The bedroom and bathroom were good, however there was blood stains on the bedding. Originally we tried to cancel this reservation after finding a better and cheaper one however the hotel refused to waiver the fee. The staff were very friendly. The location was perfect
Disliked: The price is high for what you get, the fitness area is very outdated and looks gloomy in person. You are definitely paying for the location. The A/C system was pretty poor so as a result we had leave the window open.
