Owners need to do some...

Liked: We were in the Rose Room, which is the only king bedroom and it was a very comfortable bed and pillows. Tina, our hostess was great!!!
Disliked: As for the negative, there is a lot - none of which Tina has control over. The owners do not seem to care about fixing things that multiple guests have pointed out in their reviews. I have read the same complaints that we have, in previous reviews. For example: the faucet for the bathtub falls off when you touch it. In the small, ensuite bathroom, you have to go up two stairs to get to an elevated toilet and bathtub. There are only two parking spots, so if there were additional guests they would have to park on the street. The driveway was not shovelled and very icy (again, something the owners will not invest in). We had to tramp through snow, in the dark, to get to the entrance at the rear of the property. There were dozens and dozens of cigarette butts littering the ground in the "garden?" from a permanent tenant that lives there in the winter. The kitchen was a joke. There was a communal coffee pot (that was not clean) a tea kettle, a toaster and a microwave. Although there was an oven and stove, there was nothing to cook with including utensils of any sort. Very few dishes, one coffee mug and a few drinking glasses. As for cutlery - there was one spoon! Again, what if we weren't the only people there? Sorry Tina, you are a sweetheart and willing to please, but your hands are tied with cheap owners that will not maintain their property.

Good value

Liked: - parking- good value - nice to have a kitchen- felt like a home
Disliked: - we had to request for sheets, because they were missing and some of the blankets were dirty- the trash in the kitchen wasn’t taken out and filled up quickly- we ran out of soap and didn’t get it replaced upon request - the walls were quite thin and it wasn’t very soundproof

Loved our stay

Liked: We loved having a big bed and tv and the private bathroom was more than fine as well. It was nice to have cooking and laundry facilities and a shared living room. Good communication with the host. There was a mini fridge.
Disliked: There was some mold in the shared coffee machine.

Disappointing

Liked: I rent 2 bedrooms. The bigger one was extremely bad. The bed smelt bad, and it was almost broken one leg. It feels not conformable. The air conditioner smelt so bad and spread dust. Not good for health.The second bedroom was good, air-conditioning good. Although it was no more blankets. But is was enough with the heater.
Disliked: The room 103 was so bad.

nice change from motel stay

Liked: room was not clean. tub was not rinsed (still had hair and stuff from the last user) out or cleaned. Floors were not swept, and that grossed me out, but if I overlooked that, the room was comfortable and nice.
Disliked: other that the fact it was not cleaned well, the house was very efficient and had an eclectic feel to it.

Overall a quiet night, worth...

Liked: Nice rooms, clean washroom, Overall a good experience, worth the Money
Disliked: Walls are rather thin so you can hear fairly well what’s going on in the neighbours room.
