Had a quick check in; very friendly staff; very clean; great view from room over lake and great complimentary breakfast. Absolutely will be staying there again in future visits!

Lift Bridge Lodge "Lifts" hotel...

Liked: Friendly staff. Great amenities. Beautiful front porch. Clean room, in fact, the entire property was clean. The lobby was very warm and iinviting. Breakfast had nice variety. We will definitely be recurring guests!
Disliked: The only things less than perfect were the bed pillows and the breakfast staff. The food was good but the staff were not as friendly as the rest of the property staff. We smiled and said thank you but neither of the two ladies I saw acknowledged anyone in the breakfast room from what we saw. As for the bed pillows, they fell flat and uncomfortable, unlike the bed, which was very comfortable.

Liked: Great location, close to dining and entertainment, clean and great breakfast that’s included.
Disliked: Many of the outlets in the room were covered with plates making them unusable. It made plugging in chargers and CPAP difficult.

Liked: The location was very nice. Right out of the city but close enough to go everywhere. The views were amazing. Breakfast was the best I have ever had at a hotel. Hotel room was clean and comfortable.
Disliked: Pool and hot tub were closed. Would have been nice to warm up in the hot tub as it was -30 degrees. But no worries!

Such a great stay with...

Liked: It was a great property in a great location. My wife and daughter have celiac and appreciated the gluten free breakfast options as well!
Disliked: It’s so close to Canal park and the bridge. My son and I loved being able to walk to watch the ships come through the canal.

Underwhelmed, probably won’t return.

Liked: Breakfast was below expectation for price point. Toaster burnt the bread and pastries were low quality. Coffee was decent. Hot breakfast was less desirable than other hotels at similar or lower price point.
Disliked: Pool was closed for renovation but that was not apparent to me when I booked the room/up until point of check-in. Hotel down the street allowed guests to use their pool. It was -16 (negative sixteen) degree F when we stayed so would have to drive to other hotel.Room didn’t have enough towels, and like some other hotels, this one you have to ask for any and all service: trash out, clean towels, bed turn, etc. Location is near other Canal Park amenities, but in general the area is more hype than what it really is, which is just over priced. Better food and amenities to be found elsewhere in Minnesota.
