Staff was the biggest disappointment.
Liked: Looks good for a renovated motel. Appreciated the design.
Disliked: We arrived on a freezing cold night & the fireplace wasn’t on, seems lazy and not the best guest experience. We were told the restaurant was full, because they had a table of 6. It would take an hour for our meal. Okay. So we ordered, they made us order dessert with the meal. And, it was also served with our meal. I’m talking chicken Milanese with a side of s’more ice cream. Why? We’ll never know. Staff unfriendly & could have done a lot more to welcome/client service. I guess you get what you pay for.

It was fine….
Liked: The decor and little touches are nice. Cozy vibes. Comfortable. Luxury mixed with value
Disliked: Why no rugs?! Especially in the dead of winter. I had to use our bath towel for wet boots

Convenient, Dog friendly and Cozy...
Liked: I really liked that they are dog friendly, the motel style made it easy to go in and out with my dog. They were so friendly! Self serve coffee was available very early which made my 5am dog outing very pleasant. They did a great job renovating and paid a lot of attention to details.
Disliked: The heater was noisy and the traffic on the main road was heard during the evening. Bring your favorite noise machine app and you'll be all set :)

Each night when we returned...
Liked: The breakfast was amazing as was the staff and the club room where the breakfast was served and where there was always hot coffee and hot water for tea as well as a bar.
Disliked: We are coming up to Tanglewood for the rourth of July concert and we’re disappointed that the room costs had Moore than tripled per night. I understand and all the hotel prices have gone way up, forcing us to go to an Airbnb nearby, but I would’ve been much happy and we could’ve stayed at the life house.

Disliked: Nothing! I’d suggest to maybe add a glass or two in bathroom for toothbrushes

I won’t stay here again....
Liked: Quick check in which is always appreciated. The lobby/Bar area was cozy.
Disliked: I want to preface by saying that we stayed during the off season but a few things happened that were very disappointing and could have easily been avoided. We had called on our way in and asked when the kitchen will close and they told us the last seating for dinner would be 9pm. We arrived at 8:53pm and were told the kitchen had already closed. The staff was lovely and recommended a place to go in town.The following day, we decided to have dinner at the bar in the hotel at 8pm. When we received our entrees, we asked if we could order dessert to go but they told us the kitchen had already closed. It was 8:45pm. This could have easily been avoided if the bartender checked in with us to see if we wanted dessert before the kitchen closes. When we went back to the room, we realized the toilet wouldn’t flush. The host/receptionist arrived promptly but was unsuccessful in trying to fix it. They offered to move our room at 10pm (mind you the hotel is outdoors and it was freezing) to the other side of the hotel which is a hefty walk in those temperatures. We politely declined as we were already tired and just wanted to go to bed. They offered us a measly little breakfast on the house. The manager who took care of us was nice but this was overall a disappointing stay. Wish they had been more accommodating. I sent an email to the General Manager and the Assistant general manager explaining the situation and neither one of them responded to my email.
