Excellent location. Clean friendly staff.

Liked: The chocolate croissants were amazing and an unexpected surprise. The location was perfect for us and walkable to all things we had planned in the old Montreal and relatively close to the downtown core.
Disliked: The morning coffees were on the weak side and did not have much flavor.

Disliked: Room is old and not as advertised on website. Rate is too high. Holes in ceiling, no electric fireplace, sewer smell in lobby… probably was a nice hotel 20 years ago, but now old and dated…..carpets fraying, housekeeping accosted on elevator about when leaving…

A gorgeous unique hotel in...

Liked: the location was spot on for a quick visit of the old part of Montreal, with only a couple of hours, we were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to go. Room was huge and so comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly.
Disliked: Breakfast was a bit sparse, just juice, coffee and a croissant, could have been more there really, some fruit, toast, or being able to take more than one pastry. Left hungry!

Five stars for our bedroom...

Liked: The bedroom and sitting room in our king suite were gorgeous, huge, clean, quiet, and comfortable. The lobby had a lot of fun art. The location was ideal: near Notre Dame and several restaurants, pubs, and shops. Water pressure in the shower was great. Though some of the staff seemed a bit inexperienced, they were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The bathroom needs a lot of attention. The lighting was far too dim; the shower drain is not in the lowest place, so water pools, cools, and stays on the shower floor till the next time its used; there were small drops of what looked like blood on the wall under the sink; there were only two towels and washcloths for a three night stay; the cord on the hairdryer is not long enough for it to be used easily; no vent, so the walls "bled" moisture after the shower was used; and the shower water was either very hot or very cold...difficult to find "just right." The lighting in the entire suite needs to have brighter options.
