Liked the location and atmosphere - could have used some more personalized service.

Liked: Lives up to the Artistes name - much more enjoyable than a chain hotel.
Disliked: No maid service - we stayed 2 nights and were surprised that the room wasn't cleaned, bed made or given fresh towels after the first night.

Liked: The hotel was creative in their use of different artists inspiring each room as well as the gardens
Disliked: The queen bed was too hard for me to sleep in so I had to sleep in the twin while my teenage daughter slept in the queen. Also, in the morning we were left standing at check out ignored so the owner could follow two other guests out to their car in order to continue chatting with them. After waiting for a while we finally walked out and handed her the key, but still not one word was said to us, she continued talking with the other guests… the ones she valued. The man who had checked us in was polite and welcoming, though.
