just poor all round

Liked: Room was very cold, bed really uncomfortable, not hot water from the shower. All you could hear from 6am was trams as on basement floor. Only good thing about the stay was the breakfast.
Disliked: Not having to use a plug in electric heater to get warm. hot shower would have been nice - room felt unclean

Enjoyable overnight stay

Liked: The staff were very welcoming and attentive, the hotel is very handy for Sheffield City Hall.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike

Liked: Great location, great breakfast, comfortable bed, good nights sleep. Friendly staff.
Disliked: Little details that you expect to be right but are not. Wardrobe door sticks, awkward placing of bedside light switches, plug socket not working. Sink plug sticks, so water won’t run out, tea & coffee items not equal, so only one of us couldn’t have normal coffee as we had 1 normal coffee sachet but 3 or more decaf. Kettle had no plug point close. Mirror insufficient light to do makeup. Seems petty but it’s the little things that matter.

Scrambled eggs that would have...

Liked: The measure of a hotel is in the quality of their scrambled eggs. I have to say the breakfast served at leopold had the finest scrambled eggs i've ever come across in a hotel. Not over cooked, but cooked enough. I even saw the marvelous waiter diligently stirring the eggs at the buffet to ensure a good consistency. You cannot beat that effort. I'm going to see to it that someone writes a song to honour Leopold's scrambled eggs.
Disliked: I didn't like being asked what i didn't like. Because i liked it all.
