Disliked: Damage to ceiling of room on arrival. All resolved by management for us.

Affordable luxury with fabulous staff

Liked: The staff were wonderful, helped us celebrate our anniversary with a lovely surprise of a mini bottle of wine, chocolates and a hand written note left by Afröz. We were also upgraded room wise to an executive which was so lovely thank you. The pool was a great relaxation as well

Liked: The hotel is lovely from the minute you step through the door, from the Staff, service and the room. My husband said it was the best hotel breakfast he'd had for a while. We jumped on a no.6 bus into Oxford from outside so location is perfect too.

Room worse than a Travelodge...

Liked: Shower a trickle. Impossible to wash hair so I didn't bother. Rooms basic, bright light in bathroom, that's the only one, frosted glass bathroom door so lit the whole bedroom up. Bed very firm, not really comfy for us. No fan/window in bathroom so, really steamed up.after a shower..we felt the room was extremely overpriced and despite it being spotlessly clean and breakfast being good we will not stay again and wouldn't recommend. I got sick and tired of emails every day on the run up to our stay asking us to upgrade our room.....'well how about you did that anyway' and we would return. The basic overpriced room is akin to a Travelodge despite public areas having had a lot of money and design investment.

Liked: not my first time there, very convenient if you drive. Great pubs nearby. Hotel offers good steady service with a health club and pool as a nice bonus.
