Comfortable stay- no staff present...

Liked: Bed was comfortable
Disliked: There was a fire alarm during our stay (someone was smoking in their room) I was in the shower and got dressed as quickly as I could, however, there were no staff at all in reception when I came down to give directions. I thought this was very unsafe. I returned indoors when the fire brigade left

Liked: Comfy beds, big rooms, close and walking distance to all tourist attractions. Staff very helpful and approachable.

Ideal for our theatre break.

Liked: Hotel was ideally located for transport links to Haymarket and close to our West End venue.
Disliked: Bath/shower in the room was a little old fashioned for what we expected.

Liked: Hotel was ideally situated. Staff were very nice and helpful.the room was very nice and clean. The meals were nice and plenty of choice for breakfast
Disliked: There was nothing we didn't like,I wish people would be more curtious when going back to their room later,as slamming there doors.

Liked: Room was spacious and warm. We had a coffee machine, plenty of tea and coffee. Iron and ironing board. Towels and toiletries. Some of the bar staff were polite and tried their best. Cappuccino in the bar was nice and strong. Good location from the tram station and not too far if you fancy a walk into Edinburgh. Lots of cafes and international cuisines in the surrounding area.
Disliked: Local lady booking us in wasn't the most pleasant of people. Having stayed in Bristol and Belfast Leonardos within the last 6 months, this stay did not fair so well. It is evident you have started cutting corners. Quality and choice of food at breakfast was poor compared to the 2 other hotels we visited recently. Very little staff on Saturday breakfast service which caused mayhem big queues waiting to be seated , empty hot food trays, no cutlery. Tables not cleared. The bathroom needed a serious face-lift. The shower attachment was not right fitting water was coming out everywhere. Towel rail hanging off the wall. Tiles covered in mould. 1 wall with paint bubbling. Bathroom door didn't close without being locked.

Liked: The shower was excellent. It could have used more USB plugs we could use to charge things. The parking fee was very reasonable.
Disliked: Was not clear to me at check in about cost of breakfast and weather it was supposed to be included in our reservation.We could not have breakfast because we had to leave too early. This was not clearly explained at check in.
