Nice hotel!
Liked: I always stay at the Leonardo for convenience and the fact all facilities are available and I don't have to leave the hotel for anything.
Disliked: The dinner setvice was a bit slow and the quality of some of the dishes such as the pasta papadella wasn't great!

Liked: Everything from Chloe on reception and Aidan in the bar. Perfect place to stay for the races, with taxis organised. The staff here are amazing, great breakfast and nice leisure facilities.
Disliked: Nothing not to like

Visiting Cheltenham? I wouldn't stay...
Liked: The choice at breakfast was well worth the money paid. I certainly made the most of the variety on offer. The room was lovely and bright, clean with a very comfortable bed. I was fortunate to be selected as guest of the day - which really did make my day - and came with some lovely fudge as well as vouchers for the bar and restaurant. We ate at the hotel for a couple of the evenings and the food was very tasty and filling. I was so impressed with the hotel and the staff that I have already booked a few nights for myself and colleagues at another of the Leonardo hotels during a work conference next year!
Disliked: I don't have anything negative to say about my stay.

A mixed experience which we...
Liked: It is a good location for Cheltenham and Gloucester, Spacious lounge area, well furnished and there was a small bar/seating area. One of my major gripes with hotels like this is their policy to charge guests for parking. In this case £7 a day. However a bonus was that we were "the guest of the day" and this charge was waived. Another nice surprise were the free drink vouchers and box of complimentary biscuits. The room was clean and comfortable and a decent size. The hotel is really set up for business users and conferences so had a more business focused feel.
Disliked: Now all was going well until we decided to have dinner in the restaurant. I chose the rib eye steak and my wife chose the steak fries. Here came the major disappointment, my wife's dish was cold both the chips and steak. My steak was better but with hardly warm chips. Did I say chips..... Well the menu said served with chuncky skin on fries. What we got was a plateful of skinny barely warm Mcdonald type fries. My wife did complain and a fresh dish was brought out, this time it was got but the steak really should be used a shoe leather not for eating so I shared mine which was actually OK. At £29 for the steak and £20 for the steak fries not good value. Oh by the the way would you like some vegetables? that's £5 please for a few small carrots in balsamic vinegar. The poorest meal we've ever experienced anywhere. But to be fair the manager did deduct the cost of the lesser dish and did apologise. Verdict? must try harder.

Really lovely hotel.
Liked: Value for money was superb, breakfast was lovely with lots of options, staff were super helpful and friendly.
Disliked: The hotel room walls were pretty thin, meaning I heard almost everything happening next door…
