mediocre stay

Liked: good parking, spa was nice and staff were nice
Disliked: the bed was rock solid but lumpy and the pillows were hard. After the second night my neck was agony and kept me awake.room was dated and could have been a bit cleaner

Good value for a drop...

Liked: Easy car parking, ground floor, dog friendly. Friendly staff. Scruffy areas in car park need a tidy up.
Disliked: The rooms always stink of cheap air freshener. The room was cold with no instructions on how to heat it. The duvet alone was inadequate. Food is inedible.

Exceptional

Liked: The staff especially the cleaning staff were really nice and friendly

Disliked: The chair at the vanity table was in need of replacing in room 25. The fabric was ripped

Dated room, bad services levels,...

Disliked: The staff in the Bar/Restaurant had several challenges around the tills/ordering system and to be very honest not very good in terms of customer interaction.Even purchasing drinks seems to be hard enough for them. Whilst they seemed pleasant enough it was apparent that no customer service, basic bar training or hospitality basics had been explained to them so it’s not really their fault, more of the F&B Manager for the hotel to address onboarding/training.When I asked to a G&T I was not offered/given any ice or slice, I ordered a fruit cider and was not even offered a glass just given a bottle! At the same time, we asked for a glass of sauvignon Blanc. To be “told” we have run out! They didn’t even share the alternatives.

Lovely accommodation, lovely staff, would...

Liked: The spongey shower floor, the bed was very comfy, the complimentary bottle of water was a lovely 2am treat, and the use of the spa in the morning was the perfect hangover cure.
Disliked: There isn’t anything in particular I can fault with our stay.
