I would love to return...

Liked: Traditional small French hotel in an excellent location in old Rouen. Welcoming host. Comfortable twin room on the ground floor overlooking the courtyard. French breakfast with great cheeses and bread as well as croissant, jam, coffee and fruit.
Disliked: The decor in the room was a little dark and dated.

We loved waking up to...

Liked: Very quaint, in the center city, close to transport, near shopping, food and all the historic sites to visit. Breakfast was excellent, coffee, tea, juice, yogurt, bread/croissant butter and jam, cold meat and cheese. staff was helpful, and English speaking. The patio is lovely for coffee or tea. Did not eat dinner or have tea or dessert, so can’t comment.
Disliked: If you can’t walk stairs, you’re SOL. No elevator, and narrow, steep staircase. We were offered help carrying our bags up 3 floors. Our chambre was small, without side tables or lamps, and only a small wardrobe for clothing. But it was fine for us, with a window overlooking patio. We could hear voices through the walls, but didn’t distract from our stay.

Very run down, location is...

Liked: Courtyard had a bit of character and was unique
Disliked: Manageress was not approachable at all towels weren’t changed in three days as Irish guests got the feeling they are more welcoming to French visitors it was also very unclean.

Excellent location - basic room...

Liked: Excellent location at heart of old town
Disliked: Work going on in building that took away from experience to some extent. Very noisy outside on street both nights but obviously not the property’s fault

Superb

Liked: Location is fabulous. The hotel is on one of the main walking streets and I was afraid things would get loud in the evening, but all was quiet. My room was on the ground floor right by the restaurant and kitchen, but the restaurant closes in the evening so it was quite pleasant. The guy at reception was extremely helpful and accommodating.
Disliked: The room needs a little de-cobwebbing and some decent reading lamps. :)

Liked: Very nice and typical house in Rouen's heart. Small but comfortable room.Good starting point to explore the city centre.Amazing breakfast.

A little gem

Liked: The location is excellent. Parking is a short walk away and is in an underground carpark. Breakfast was so nice, lovely fresh croissants jams cheeses and ham. Also a homemade cake. Staff were very friendly and good. Nothing too much trouble. If you like quaint quirky then you will love this hotel.
Disliked: If we were being picky then we find the square pillows not as comfy as our usual at home but we did sleep well as we had done a lot of sightseeing!

Liked: Beautiful setting, very central
Disliked: You could hear everything in the rooms either side.Very few electric outlets in the room also, and the bed was uncomfortable. Neither of us slept well at all

Liked: The area is very very beautiful.The room is small though but you get everything you need.The hotel is in the city centre.
