Liked: Beautiful mock chateau room , staff were great, breakfast was brilliant (full English or pancakes and maple syrup ) and we loved the evening meals , we will be back to use the restaurant , loved everything on the menu.

Disliked: Radiators weren't on in room until we requested it. It was a pretty dark room with tiny window. Told to phone reception if we had issues but room had no phone. Bed comfy and room clean. Stay was not bad but I had just seem some posts on social media and thought it might be a bit more impressive.

Liked: Fantastic location, lovely room and balcony, beautiful bath and shower, very relaxing The restaurant was great, nice and relaxing and quite casual, great atmosphere, food was great and reasonably priced The outside space was lovely, ample seating with small fire pits and lovely to sit out on a night Overall a great stay and will return, I made sure to ring in advance and make sure there were no weddings on as it’s not the largest hotel and I can imagine it gets very noisy and busy when there’s an event on
Disliked: Staff were mixed, the management staff were absolutely fantastic, very approachable and went the extra mile Bar/restaurant staff were mixed, some great, some aloof, everyone was nice and certainly didn’t ruin the experience

Flawless.

Liked: Gorgeous aesthetic and decor, beautiful views overlooking the garden and water features, amazing shower, comfortable bed, friendly and accommodating staff. And the best vegan hot breakfast we’ve ever had.
Disliked: Lots of steps to get to the room but can’t be helped in a building of its age. No notes. Will be back.

A stylish place to relax

Liked: Very stylish room, extremely good water pressure (bathtub + shower), excellent food (both dinner & breakfast), extremely kind and friendly staff, nice garden
Disliked: A very loud and rude group of other guests terrorised and annoyed the other guests but that couldn't be helped, I guess.
