Liked: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Unique and interesting history; the staff was courteous, friendly and attentive. We would highly recommended this hotel to anyone traveling to New Orleans.

Great experience all around

Liked: Great location, all staff were beyond wonderful. Beds and room lovely. Beautiful lobby and restaurants.

Decent stay

Liked: Friendly staff and terrific food at the restaurant. The hotel lobby is beautiful and very welcoming. The location is ideal as it is central to everything but not too noisy or crowded as you’d find in the French Quarter. Check-in and check-out process was a breeze.
Disliked: We stayed for three nights (room 827) and the flush mechanism on our toilet broke each night. We kept having to wait for a plumber to arrive and replace parts, but unfortunately nothing was a lasting fix. Also, the $8 price tag for an unrefrigerated plastic bottle of water offered on our room desk is, in my opinion, quite in poor taste for a luxury hotel. Finally, despite the recent renovations, the room looks tired with peeling wallpaper in the bathroom along with stains on the carpet and mildew/missing grout in the shower.

I will stay again.

A beautiful place to stay...

Liked: Beautiful renovation of a classic hotel. Gorgeous Christmas decorations and artwork. The lobby was spectacular. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The elevator was broken in one side so it was slow but other than that I loved my room and the bed was so comfortable!
Disliked: Elevator was slow

Liked: The Hotel is beautiful, rooms very well appointed and bed extremely comfortable.
Disliked: Staff (some) were quite rude. I was never informed about the heritage tax and when I enquired was sent a message back (booking.com) to say it was included however it was not. Lifts were down, only one working, then both brokedown and we have to use the staff lifts then they closed that down and we had a walk up to 4 flights of stairs! Staff really did not give a crap about that. The water/milk on offer downstairs became a nightmare, people spilling on tiles and I went for a bit of a slip.
