Liked: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Unique and interesting history; the staff was courteous, friendly and attentive. We would highly recommended this hotel to anyone traveling to New Orleans.

Liked: It is a beautiful lobby. The rooms are small unless you upgrade.
Disliked: The WiFi was out the entire time. The elevator was out. Room service was horrible.

Dirty room and well-below standard...

Liked: Great location. Charming, unique hotel
Disliked: Our bathroom wasn’t clean. The toilet had feces down the side of it. A very noticeable amount, not just a speck. The shower was also not cleaned, still had multiple strands of hair on the bottom, and some residue so it wasn’t from housekeeping. It hadn’t been cleaned. When we asked for housekeeping to come into the room, we watched her use a dirty rag on the toilet, then use the same rag on the floor and back again on the toilet seat! She didn’t even clean the side with the feces and when we pointed that out, she proceeded to wipe it, then again use that rag to wipe the floor around the toilet! The lack of cleanliness and the clear lack of appropriate cleaning practices concerned us and when I addressed it with the manager on duty, she offered to tell the cleaning crew’s manager, and offered a free drink voucher for the bar! The other person at the desk (not the manager) offered to switch our room and was apologetic but at that point we didn’t trust their cleaning practices in any of the rooms and asked for a refund to go elsewhere. They didn’t seem to care since they said they wouldn’t refund us anyway-we’d have to go through booking for that since it was paid for through them.

Disliked: Charged twice for the room. Prepaid but charged again. Corrected a week later after several calls. Charged for water in room we didn't drink. I am still waiting on a refund after multiple calls and being told it would be refunded. Lovely hotel, but bookkeeping is disorganized.
