Le Méridien St. Louis Clayton

Liked: The decor was nice and the staff was very friendly. Plus I love the location.
Disliked: The room was relatively small

Not a luxury hotel.

Liked: Nice smell on entering and a friendly check in experience. Also, all of the parking valets with whom we interacted were lovely.
Disliked: Tiny room with a bathroom that barely accommodated one person and no where to put toiletries, etc. Lots of noise from hallways kept us awake. No one answering the phone for room service Sunday morning. We finally called the front desk. They said they’d have room service call us but no one did. Finally (a half hour later) we called front desk again and the person we spoke too took our breakfast order. But when the food arrived (two entrees plus a croissant and drinks) we had only silverware for one, no butter or jelly for croissant (despite specifically asking for both) and no milk or sugar for tea (again, despite specifically asking for both). By that time we had to get ready to check out so we just ate with what we had. Very frustrating.

Overall, I would definitely stay...

Liked: Perfect location and the location seemed like it was in a safe area.
Disliked: Could have been a little cleaner. Maybe consider cleaning the elevator buttons. Also, the barn door for the closet fell off. The front desk sent someone up but I was asked, "Do you need this fixed now?" He placed the door back up but it was quite loose, so I just never used it again.

Great one time experience.

Liked: There was a woman who worked in the Chalet area, I never got her name, but she was wonderful!! I wish I knew her name because she would definitely be named in the review!!
Disliked: The lighting in the bathroom is horrible. Definitely unable to do makeup in there.
