Liked: Property sits back just off the main city street. Keeping things quiet. There is a wonderful curved staircase, well made.Breakfast was complete with all the I options.
Disliked: Check-in was not convenient. It's a bit small so the front desk person was not available much..

Overall, it was an adequate...

Liked: Great location near Place de Heroes and Carriere Wellington. Room was nicely appointed and clean overall. Hotel was quiet and conducive to adequate rest. The shower in my room was better than most, as it was a full-sized standup shower - not as common unless staying at a much nicer hotel, especially in France.
Disliked: Access is an issue and even locating the hotel is fairly difficult unless you've been there before. Parking is very tight and in somewhat short supply. The staff is not overly friendly and speak very little English. They lock the front door very early, so don't arrive late to check-in, or it may be a while before you can get in (I assume the manager lives on the property, however). The room was adequately clean, however the water closet absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke, and this did not dissipate during my entire 2-night stay. Not sure if there was a venting issue with one of the smoking rooms or the manager's apartment, but as a non-smoker, this was very unpleasant. Finally, the wifi access was absolutely atrocious, especially later at night.

A decent hotel not far...

Liked: The hotel reception is open only a few hours a day but - I suppose - the owner somehow saw me and let me in a few hours earlier.I'mNice looking rooms. No noise from neighbors - and there were no vacancies that night.This area of Arras has heavy traffic. I would have never stayed there, had I not a very early train out.

Disliked: I was disappointed that I had to pay extra for parking and that on the breakfast did not start until 9am on the Sunday that I was travelling.
