Unreasonable to have the hotel...

Liked: The staff were lovely, and the location is great facing the canal.
Disliked: The hotel communal areas are currently a building site (literally, plastic sheeting up, wires dangling down, a temporary table as a reception desk); you had to knock on the window to get in. It didn't feel fair for the hotel to be open in that state. So it was basically just a small room at approaching 300 EUR a night. The room was a bit dated, shower leaked, tiles and floor dirty. Overall a bit icky.

Pleasant room in a great...

Liked: The breakfast was great. It was a basic Parisian breakfast - croissant, coffee, bread/butter/jam, but with good coffee and fresh orange juice. Room was spacious. We were on the 1st floor and it was not noisy. Chaim, the hotel manager, is very friendly and helpful with your stay. The room had a coffee machine, water kettle, and the bathroom had great soaps.
Disliked: Everything was fantastic. If I had to mention one thing, it's that it was 2 single beds merged into one instead of a queen size bed.
