Liked: The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The room was spotlessly clean. The Dyson heater/fan was a good idea. The food at dinner was good. Breakfast was very relaxed. Everything you could think of was available. The dining room was lovely facing the harbour and a glorious sunset every evening. The hotel is near the Billy line, a disused railway track. It’s a lovely walk via the oyster beds all the way to the beach, about 6 k.
Disliked: Some of the corridors could go with freshening up and a kick of paint. The public seating and bar area tended to be cold and not very inviting.

Liked: Location is lovely. Breakfast/dinner were very nice. Hotel needs some refurbishment. Looks tired and tatty inside and out. Had to change room as mattress in our first room had a large hole/deep dip in it. Can't understand why it was offered in that state. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Well positioned, comfortable Hotel.

Liked: Lovely hotel in an amazing position, great for WWII history buffs! Friendly and attentive staff from reception to housekeeping. There was also a hearty and plentiful breakfast. My only concern was the food and bar prices, they were overall somewhat excessive. Regrettably, this hotel, as do others, follows an operational policy of only accepting cards, not cash, in payment for service(s). Many people prefer the tangibility of cash, so in this instance, I was unable to use legal tender during our stay!A great stay, thank you!
