Quite magical!

Liked: The grand hall is decorated beautifully with the huge open fire making it so cosy. The tree is stunning as are all the decorations in the dining rooms and bar.Food was very good as was the service. Very comfortable room and bed and after a great sleep we had a superb breakfast.
Disliked: Choice of wines by the glass.

Quaint, friendly and will definitely...

Liked: Location good, hotel was as expected and staff all very friendly. Hotel has good ambience, modern hotels don’t have the charm of a hotel like this, we will be staying again.
Disliked: Hotel dining room very busy so lots of non-resident guests at the hotel (Xmas festivities and a Sunday) parking only available in other car park. Not a problem as not far but weather not good and a bit muddy.

Liked: Breakfast was lovely and the breakfast room and the view from e room was lovely too.
Disliked: Website on an iPhone reads very difficult!!!. Did show and mention it to a member of the staff.
