Liked: Grand hotel style: professional and polished from staff to facilities to room. Visited during shoulder season/spring, no crowds, no tourist pricing, so nice. National park behind hotel, great running paths. Spa area is very large for hotel: 2 dry saunas, 1 wet sauna, IR sauna and a 6 person jacuzzi. Lounge chairs in/outside. Have never been to a sauna and was required to wear swim gear, felt very odd- but whatever! Super comfortable bed. English channels on TV. Elevators at every stair case, took 5 elevator rides during one excursion, super handicap friendly, kudos. 19km to Keukenhof gardens, 7km to Haarlem- terrific location for hotel. Staff speaks English and is quite gregarious, hotel experience was a 10.

Liked: Amazing location, great for walks. Cosy bar, lovely atmosphere.
Disliked: Their standard menu is not suitable for vegetarians. They can do vegetarian options, I was told on arrival instead of when I inquired by email. This might have been communicated better.
