I stayed here for an overnight trip and was extremely satisfied with my decision. The room was quite comfortable and very clean.

Nice stay. Location is good...

Liked: That is was clean! Yes it’s old but it was clean and refreshed.
Disliked: All staff that interacted with was friendly. Even the front desk!

XLNT!

Liked: This property was an example of what all motels should strive for. It was conveniently located near shops and restaurants, as well as SDSU. Most of the major attractions in SD were within a 30 minute drive. The mature landscaping was well maintained, as was room 205, which we occupied. It was very well appointed and exceptionally clean and comfortable, especially the king sized bed! And everything worked as it should. There was a small refrigerator, but no microwave. Breakfast was more than adequate and served 6am to 10am. Overall, a great experience.
Disliked: While we were there, they were renovating the lower floors so we got a 2nd floor room. There is not elevator so we had to schlep our luggage up the stairs. The front desk clerk was apologetic but had no control over the situation. Even with that small issue, we found the property to be just what we needed for our stay in San Diego and will return on our next trip there.

Good for the value

Liked: It was good value for our stay. The breakfast was nice with the waffles, wish there were more hot options though. It was a small motel type hotel, which I wasn’t fully expecting (thought it would be bigger than what it was), BUT it was clean, the beds were comfortable, the staff was very friendly and great, and it was extremely close to the event at the college where we needed to be. Plus there were A LOT of food options in close proximity which made it easy with my family. Nice place for a family on a budget, I would stay here again.
