Disliked: We were on the bottom floor, and the upstairs room was very noisey when people walked around with the squeaky floor. Not great for a good nights sleep.

Second time stayed there would...

Disliked: We arrived after hours and there was no map or direction provided to find our room easily. Hotel car park was full so needed to park on road which was a bit inconvenient for unloading in the dark and weather. We arrived late so my partner called to inform the hotel staff. Customer service on this phone call was disappointing.

Disliked: We thought the price was pretty steep at the time of booking but thought it would be what you expected to pay up in Taupo. We arrived and were very disappointed with our room - it was at the back on the side of the property and was absolutely stinking hot with no air conditioning and only one window and a small fan. The bed was pretty past its use by date and very small with roll together. The toilet was reasonably new which was great but the bathroom sink had cracks and clearly needed replacing and a lick of paint around the skirting boards would help a lot too. If you are going to charge over $300 per night for a standard studio for 2 people you really need to do some upgrades. They pretty much doubled their usual price for the V8's racing weekend. It would even have been nice to have some plates, bowls, and utensils for use. The cleaners each morning were pretty slack with the flannels & towels as well. Also very lacking in parking spots!!
