Disappointing

Liked: We had the family barn room, which is amazing. The sinery around is amazing, the staff is helpful and kind. We had only one issue, big one, we had No hot water. We came back after dinner, and had no hot water. We tried to contact the front desk, no one was there, we had no line phone in the room, and no celular reception so.....No Hot Water. Such an amazing place, So disappointing.

The upgrade in rooms made...

Liked: The rooms were spacious and were upgraded, so no complaint there. The view from the balcony was lovely, and it was very peaceful in general. There was plenty of storage for clothes and closets. The coat hanger at the entrance was a great idea!
Disliked: We were not told the hotel was in the middle of a remodel, so the lobby entrance and breakfast area were out of bounds. Breakfast was in a paper sack for pickup in the morning--not appetizing. We were awakened by a faulty fire alarm that kept going off one morning. A general musty smell, workers down hallways, and the unattractive side entryway made it generally not very pleasant.

Liked: Everything was great, undergoing a renovation and they did a great job working around that. Very nice grounds to walk around.
Disliked: Given the renovation there was no full breakfast available, but they can’t be faulted for that. Plenty of options in Ithaca for food.
