La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Spokane Downtown, Spokane

Seemed more like a $60.00/night hotel instead of a $120.00/night hotel.

Liked: Easy to find and good sound proofing.
Disliked: My daughter got bites from something in the bed; the TV didn't work and the window view was out to a cinder block.

Liked: The room was clean, and spacey, the staff was friendly and the breakfast area was nice. The late night staff knew a Cheer comp in the area was very early and had breakfast items avail early.
Disliked: The lighting in the rooms was horrible, I know it's eco friendly but it was very hard to do my daughters' hairs styles and make up with very little light

Liked: Hotel was great and felt safe but there are many homeless on the streets around the hotel. We would not go walking anywhere around the hotel.

Liked: New building, location is very close to the downtown. And free breakfast was very good.
Disliked: Room wasn’t cleaned very well(human hair left on bathroom floor, filter in heating/cooling were dirty), bathroom sink had issues draining. Homeless around the area was a bit disturbing(I know it’s a difficult situation).

Bad

Disliked: When I went to check in I was met at the door by staff who would not let me in so I went to my car to get my phone to show proof I had a reservation. When I came back to the front doors I was not able to go in because staff had locked the doors and were on there computer seeing if I did infact have a reservation which they did find. Not once did they apologize. It gets worse I then was told that because my master card did not have my name printed on the front I would not be allowed to stay in the hotel. I then learned they had charged my card for the 2 days I was not able to stay in there hotel even though I had told the man at the front desk to cancel the reservation if I couldn't use my master card because it's the only card I own. I did offer to pay cash but was told by the man at the front desk that "no hotel in America excepts cash". So I turned around and walked out of the hotel in disbelief at what had just happened. I'm still in disbelief why I had to pay the full amount for a hotel that would not do a single thing to help it's guests out. We had to sleep in our car with our 2 dogs instead of the hotel I had already paid for.
