Overall it was ok but...

Liked: It was in a good location.
Disliked: The tube didn’t drain very well. Check in took a long time. If there’s a lot of check ins, they you should have more than just one agent.

Liked: The checkin was speedy. Several good choices for breakfast.
Disliked: Parking and getting tiny room is n the back of the hotel didn’t feel very secure

Thoroughly disappointed, and equally surprised.

Disliked: Service was exceptionally slow, there was a late night queue of people out the door into the carport, on a chilly night with children all around, the staff look overwhelmed and under concerned. The bedroom itself had sheets that were visibly marked, the toilet had not been cleaned as the bowl had “residuals” of another previous guest. The shower was unable to drain, and water accumulated throughout what had to be a short shower because of the drain. Ultimately I have stayed in plenty of La Quinta’s growing up and as an adult and was always left with an enjoyable experience. This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth and a certain skepticism to future nights with La Quinta. I understand the staff were probably understaffed and overwhelmed, which is why I decided ultimately not to make it their problem, but on a corporate and managerial level I anticipate an improved change in oversight and operations. Ultimately for $120 I would have rather saved my money and slept in my car, but given the room was booked via Expedia, and was non-refundable I made the best of what I got. I ultimately checked out early to get out of the city as quickly as I could after my stay here. I camp for fun, I am used to sleeping on straight dirt if need be, but when I am expected to pay more than the local average price per night for that date, I expect better than this, especially from La Quinta given my experience in the past.
