Disliked: The room not clean. I had to buy cleaning supplies and clean the the bathroom. The shower was filty, the toilet had dry stool, the carpet wasn't vacuumed, the linen looked it wasn't changed. Not enough towels available. Some lights were not working. The essentials of the room where not available.

Renovations incomplete
Liked: The location is excellent for visiting Kings Dominion, Washington DC, and Richmond, VA.
Disliked: Hotel was under renovations that were supposed to be completed in March... we received a single King room when we paid for and expected a double queen. Pool and hot tub were shutdown, it was loud, no TV remote or cable, many outlets in the room didn't work, the diffuser was off of the hvac unit and it blasted one side of the bed with air

Horrible
Liked: The only good thing is it was close to Kings Dominion.
Disliked: Only reason I booked this hotel is because of the pictures of the pool and because it was inside. The kids were looking forward to going swimming since Kings Dominion water park is not open at the moment. Go to Check in to be told that the place is under renovations and the pool was closed. SMH nothing was posted online about the renovations or about the pool being closed. The beds were suppose to be kings size for both rooms and they were full size. Went to turn on the tv and the tv kept saying no signal. My youngest son went to take a bath and hardly any hot water on lukewarm water so couldn’t bath or shower while we stayed there. Oh and to top it off as we were going down the road I noticed I left my daughter tablet on the bed called on the way home to be told nothing was turned in so whoever cleaned the rooms stole her tablet. Will never stay here again.

Horrible experience overall but nice...
Liked: The location is great.
Disliked: So many things - our room key never worked. The battery needed to be changed for the key to work. Every clerk told us they’d have maintenance do it, in the three days we were there, it was never done. Every time we needed to go to our room, we’d have to let the clerk know and they would always rekey our keys first even though we told them that wasn’t the issue. They’d have to come up and use a key to let us in. We were the setting to the furthest room away from the front desk. We booked a room for five people. We had two towels and two washcloths. We asked for more and we were told they didn’t have any more washcloths. They gave us a few extra towels instead. The toilet was broken. When we checked in we were informed that they were doing renovations and the indoor pool wasn’t available. That isn’t mentioned on the La Quinta website when you make reservations. We were very disappointed as the pool factored in to our stay. At our first breakfast for people grabbed chocolate milk. It was bad even though it was still in code. We let the clerk know and she brought out fresh but the next morning the bad chocolate milk was still there and we heard a little boy complaining to his father about it. We received a discount from one of the clerks for $27 but that’s not enough to make us come back again. I had another reservation to stay there in September and I canceled
