Horrible hotel

Liked: Location was good. Plenty of parking.
Disliked: My reservation was cancelled without any notice by the property. The staff treated me very rudely.

Liked: The staff were friendly and tried very hard to be helpful.
Disliked: Right before I left for Pearsall, I got a call from a hotel staff member saying they could not honor my reservation because the hotel was sold out. They blamed it on the Booking.com website. I expressed my extreme disappointment: I was going down to be with a friend whose mother had just passed away and I didn't have anywhere else to stay. They managed to find me a room and did honor the rate.I was expecting to be able to use the pool: I was told that it had been closed for 2 years and was now used for storage. Really??Also: the room did not have a hair dryer or a coffee pot. After I expressed my concern, the staff was able to find one of each.I do not think the standards of this particular facility would meet La Quinta quality standards.

Disliked: There was no mirror to put on make up !! Lighting was limited!! Sofa bed was uncomfortable n mattress very thin ..no blankets available in room for that ..no pillow either
