Great location for those attending activities at First Baptist Orlando. Quick, easy commute without getting back on Interstate. Safe. Wendy's within walking distance. Great restaurants nearby.

TERRIBLE HOTEL

Liked: When you are looking at the pictures online, the hotel looks nice. Once you arrive you will see the opposite. The receptionist was very nice. I arrived with my ten year old very late in the evening. Our room was in the building across from the reception. As you entered the lobby it smelled like weed. Once we went to our room on the 3rd floor, as you exited the elevator, the smell of bleach was horrible. We went into the iour room, and while the beds looked OK, the smell of humidity and musk was really bad. The air conditioning unit was so old that the air circulation was terrible. My son asked me if we could go somewhere because he felt afraid. The bathroom was not clean. There was hair in the sink. I had no power or desire to go looking for another hotel at 1030pm. with my child, so we slept there. The room was $150 a night. At 2 am, I could not sleep and looked for another hotel to ck out. We were supposed to stay 2 nights at la Quinta. We moved to the Hyatt place down the road, and the difference for the exact same price was tremendous! We travel a lot and this is the first time we have had to stay at a place like that hotel. It is terrible because the hotel is 6 minutes from Universal Studios.If you have children, DO NOT stay at la Quinta by Universal Studios!
