Staff is really nice, area...
Liked: The bathroom curtain rod was very loose, the towel holder was broken, a little mold on the shower curtain, terrible area with signs all over the parking lot saying the manager is not responsible for break ins. The staff were great and breakfast was good though.

Very clean and safe aside...
Liked: It was clean and comfortable.
Disliked: The dead bolt wouldn’t lock on the door of the room I stayed in.

Comfortable beds, fine breakfast, overall...
Liked: The staff were kind and helpful, room seemed clean, beds were comfortable.
Disliked: This hotel is not in the best part of Kansas City, Missouri. KCMO is known for one of the highest rates of car theft in the United States. La Quinta in Kansas City does absolutely nothing to help protect your vehicle from theft. There are no functioning cameras in the parking lot, and outside lighting is a problem. It would behoove La Quinta to show the rest of the city how to protect its customers vehicles from theft by installing a gated entrance and exit that is only accessible to its patrons. If they did this I would stay there on my next visit.

Liked: Everything was good but not very happy with the lack of hot water for a shower day after day.

No Sleep for Me
Liked: Clean, bright, comfortable bed, typical breakfast. However, I got barely any sleep because of a boisterous group across the hall who partied until about 1 am, took a break, and started up again about 3. Situation was made much worse because there was some weird air vent in the wall that actually AMPLIFIED the sound significantly. Called front desk twice, she claimed she spoke to the loud folks. Second time, she offered to put us in a different room, but at 1 a.m., that felt like too much hassle. Guess I should be grateful it wasn't a drunken brawl or super amorous couple???
