All in all, really enjoyed...

Liked: The location and the grounds of hotel were beautiful and hotel and staff were great.
Disliked: There was no hair dryer in room which they did bring one. There was only one wash cloth. Housekeeping must not be on top of things. No bread for toast, just English muffins.

Passable

Disliked: The property was under construction and that was not made clear. The place smelled. Check in took quite a long time. Front desk staff was kind but did not seem very knowledgeable.

Great value, friendly staff and...

Liked: Jesus, the night shift gentleman. He was very nice and helpful. The bed was super comfy and everything worked in my room.
Disliked: The carpet in the room was very gross, not clean. And although they were under construction, I can’t recall seeing any signage that stated that info.Also the back door to the rooms, farthest from the front desk, did not lock and could be accessed by anyone. Even non-guests.

Superb

Liked: Besides what I described in the section “what didn’t you like”, everything else met my expectations.
Disliked: The shower has a plastic in the floor that was a little bit detached from the floor and it had mold.

Disappointing

Liked: Unfortunately, the only positive to report would be that due to the out-of-the-way location, there was very little to no foot traffic which seemed to greatly reduce the vagrants and freaks often lurking Motel parking lots.
Disliked: At check-in, I asked about a late departure and learned that was going to cost me $30 for 30 minutes, so I declined. To add insult to injury, we were then awoken at 7:30 am with an ear-splitting alarm assuming that there must have been a fire. Not the case! When I called the front desk, I was told that it must have been a glitch in the system and in fact there was no reason to have been alarmed and awoken so abruptly. At breakfast, we inquired about getting that late check out on the house considering our trouble this morning and we were told they would not make an exception. As far as the accommodations go... The premises were well deserving of a good update. The decor was shabby and deteriorating. The wallpaper sagging and buckling, the paint was scuffed, and in many locations badly worn off at contact points. Doors were dented and marred and that was just the hallways. Upon entering the room, I found that the bathroom door latch didn't operate. Those same doors were incredibly beat up. The toilet seemed to run incessantly after flushing and the tub did not drain until I messed with it which only slightly rectified the problem leaving me standing ankle-deep in soapy water by the end of my shower. Beyond that, once I lay down on the bed, I learned that only one of the wall lamps was inoperable, and one of the other was left with a burned-out light bulb.

Excellent service and clean room

Liked: The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and an overall pleasant experience.
Disliked: The eggs were not real eggs, but those carton eggs, which have no flavor and are disappointing. Everything else for breakfast was great.
