Liked: Because of my discomfort, I asked to cancel the second day of my booking. The front desk didn't inquire as to why I wanted to cancel and went ahead and cancelled without charge which I was grateful for.
Disliked: I have stayed at La Quintas in the past and found them satisfactory- but this one is not. I was traveling alone and arrived at night. When I checked in, the front desk gave me a key that didn’t work for my room, so I had to go back and request a new one. The second key initially worked, but later, when I stepped out to my car in the middle of the night, it stopped working. Normally, this wouldn’t be a big deal, but given the late hour and the amount of foot traffic around the property, I didn’t feel safe. To make matters worse, I noticed signs of wear and tear on the chair in my room, which I used as an extra measure to secure the door—something I suspect other guests have felt the need to do as well.This experience made my stay uncomfortable, and I would urge management to improve the security and functionality of the key system to ensure a safer, more reliable experience for guests.
