Disliked: The 'hot water' never actually gets hot, so after a long day or whatever your reason for staying, don’t expect to relax with a hot soak. This isn’t an isolated room issue either it’s a boiler problem, as this is my second stay here this month with the same experience. To make matters worse, the tub stopper seems to be a hasty replacement from Home Depot, not even matching the manufacturer's tub, so it can’t hold water as it should.While I appreciate the free breakfast, it’s the same food every day, lacking any variety during my 4-night stay. Additionally, the exterior parking lot lights go off at 6:00 a.m., which makes for a very uncomfortable and unsafe walk to your car in the dark prime conditions for something like a burglary.The worst aspect, however, is the overall facility maintenance. Everything looks like a quick fix from patchy sheetrock to poorly applied caulking, and rust around the tubs. It’s clear that no real investment is made into maintaining the property. We're paying for a better experience but getting Motel 6 quality instead. La Quinta at this Alamo location really needs to lower its prices, as the current rate doesn’t reflect the lack of care or maintenance going into their facilities in the Rio Grande Valley.

Disliked: I reserved a king size room with 2 beds. I got there after 4 hour drive and was told I had king size room with jacuzzi. I was told if I wanted 2 beds ( no jacuzzi) I had to pay extra. After a 4 hour drive, I went ahead and paid. I used to stay here all the time. Not any more.
