Unfriendly, poorly managed, money grabbing...

Liked: Staff was terrible. We arrived a little early and They wanted to charge us extra for early check in (Check in was at 3:00)They charged my credit card extra twice. First a $1:00 charge and then a $50:00 charge that they said it was just a deposit for possible incidental charges (we had none) and it won't go through. During the check out they added the $50.00 and said the $50.00 would be refunded in 5-7 business day. As of today it has not been refunded. When I asked to talk to a manager he/she was not available.I have never had such a negative experiences.
Disliked: Checking in and checking out were very badThe breakfast, had a machine making pancake which was absolutely awful. Will never stay in this chain.

Disliked: Having hot water was an issue. Property uses boiler system for their hot water and after laundry is done could not get hot water for awhile.

A super cute locally owned...

Liked: the room was quiet and comfortable. the breakfast was amazing -- not just as a hotel breakfast but the offerings, quality and value made it feel like a real actual breakfast! beyond continental! and the coffee quality is GOOD. locally roasted and delicious! All staff working at the desk were super friendly and helpful and the service workers were friendly and it felt like the overall mood was good!
Disliked: I wish we could have stayed longer so we could have had more time in SLO and time to go to the hot tub!
