Abysmal level of staff hospitality...

Liked: - wine list at the lobby bar - location
Disliked: - the staff. They were terrible. At the check in I specifically ask not to block / pre authorize deposit amount for the room from the card (as it is debit) offered them cash deposit instead and asked to make full payment for the room from the card. They agreed. I double asked that they will only charge card for the amount of stay. They said “yes”. Instead they pre authorized stay+deposit. I immediately asked them to reverse the transaction. Very unpleasant (due to the looks on her face) team leader at the lobby told me “I just reversed payment, wait 24h”. 24h past I came back to the same lady still with the money locked! She said “wait 24 more hours” .. that’s all.. with that inattentive and uncaring face. Her team made a mistake and she didn’t even care. Long story short, I checked out 2 days ago , money still blocked.. it been 5 days)) everyday I talked to staff at the lobby, no one helped. In the end they “offered” 36 euro discount for my stay.. I’m ashamed for their level of hospitality.

Liked: We were made very welcome and the location was amazing . Our bedroom overlooked the beautiful cathedral. We had room service for supper which was excellent
