A nice surprise

Liked: Friendly staff, good breakfast
Disliked: The remodeling consists of cosmetics, bathrooms still require upgrading but not too bad overall. The access parking wise is a nightmare but that the fault of that terrible mayor who made the city barely live-able if you own a car.

Liked: The check in staff were very pleasant - the room was big and the bed was comfortable - there were robes in the room which I always love!
Disliked: The phone did not appear to work (and there was no indication as to what to dial to get hold of reception - I did try every single number to no avail) and so disappointingly in order to order room service I did have to go down to reception to place my order. The staff were very apologetic however and I had no other complaints.

Liked: Loved the location the decor and the whole ambience of the hotel. Great place will definitely come back.
Disliked: No bath and no biscuits in the room. We like this small touch.

Disliked: Restaurant / bar on Monday evening did not work because of the lack of personell. At 7 pm the girl at the reception told that she is along and cannot serve people in the restaurant. Definitely hotel management failure.

Nice and clean, comfortable bed,...

Liked: Our bed was very comfortable, the room was small but pleasant. The bar and restaurant are nice however we did not eat, just a couple beers. We were unfortunately put next to the 2nd floor exit door and all night it didn't stop but we managed to sleep. The tv was nice but no shows spoke our language even if you converted the language in the settings, no big deal here though. Perfect access to local attractions by foot yet doesn't put you in the hussle and cramp areas or large crowds on foot if you are driving, in other words you can get in and out easily by car. No complaints, I would stay again for sure.
Disliked: I don't understand why there are no wash cloths in French hotels, or at least the ones we stayed at. I guess they are not a thing in France. Parking can be an issue but that's all over France.
