A basic hotel that can’t...

Liked: Clean, modern, spacious room.
Disliked: Once we had checked in and retired for the evening, we were met with a swelteringly hot room. The AC, despite having more modes and settings than an aeroplane, did not work. The TV was very slow and if you want a kettle, you will need to get this from a cupboard on a separate floor. Quite what you are supposed to do with the hot water once you have made the journey to the 3rd floor I’m not sure - there were no teabags or coffee. Once you have battled the heat and fallen asleep, I advise you not to use the toilet as the bathroom light will illuminate the whole room, even after turning the privacy film on. Perhaps a good job there were no teabags! The final disappointment came in the morning, when we went downstairs for the ‘LA style breakfast’. For those of you who have not been fortunate enough to travel to Los Angeles: stale sandwiches in a display counter. All in all, we were very disappointed in our stay and feel that sustainability is just a way to avoid basic customer service.
