Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Never again.

Liked: The historical value of the site and the surroundings. Linen was clean.
Disliked: the first thing we experienced is staff didn't event know where the room was located, and didn't know anything about the surroundings as we missed the dinner (be aware this has to be booked up front) with the excuse - I just moved to the area, sorry I know nothing. Breakfast available from 08:00 am on - we had to leave before that. The windowsill in the room was a flies graveyard . rather discussing. I didn't' use the shower as I was afraid stepping into it - the linoleum was black in the corners of the shower. The light in the bathroom was going on/off at its own accord, the faucet in sink spayed water all over, the combination of all the extension cables was like something to LOL - what to say - sad impression. very sad indeed. which is a pity for such nice historical site. To less money/maintenance and too less love. I was staying in various renewed "Slots" in Denmark and this was by far the saddest experience.

Charming castle

Liked: It is in a lovely location, a beautiful old castle, and is very charming, but the bathrooms could do with an update.
Disliked: Bathrooms are very outdated

Disliked: The bed was too small. The shower was too small. The bathroom was very old.My meat was not good prepared and nothing was done about this. I would have expected a cup of coffee or something.

Okay!

Liked: Beautiful, very nice staffThe food is excellent! Both dinner and breakfast!
Disliked: Cleanliness and service feeling (although very nice staff) could be better. And I must admit: the scandinavian showers where everything gets wet and you have to swipe are not what I like

Not worth the price

Liked: Nice castle that could need a bit of renovation. Very quiet but we were the only guests
Disliked: Reception was closed and the bedroom key was hanging out. The bed was extremely small and uncomfortable. The bedroom was poorly renovated with electric cables set randomly on the walls.

Very good

Liked: Beautiful castle and room was nicely decorated too. Staff was kind and helpful.
Disliked: Bathroom was old and the room could've been cleaner. But for this price, the stay was worth the money.

Very good

Liked: Lovely setting in an old castle, quiet area. Lounges around the hotel to relax in were nice
Disliked: Breakfast was a bit disappointing without loads of choice. We were hoping to stay at the hotel for dinner but there was only a set menu which we didn't like the sound of so had to go elsewhere.
