We went to Traverse City for a concert and decided last minute to stay over. This motel instantly got our attention with an amazing rate, even on a holiday. We were a little skeptical but were quite impressed with the cleanliness, simple check in process, friendly staff and great location. The beds were clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again.
Liked: Very clean; conveniently located; great rates.

Disliked: I didn't like that.I arrived at one o'clock and the front staff was sleeping at the deskThe room smells like cigarettes.Smoke on our second night thereWas not the best experience unfortunately Tho I guess you get what you pay for it was cheap

Good value and a good...
Liked: The location was great and the staff was very helpful.
Disliked: The beds were a little stiff but all in all everything was clean and somewhat cozy. We had a little bit of an issue at check-in with the room not being ready well after 3pm but I did request a certain room type so that’s not unusual. We just went downtown to shop for the grandbabies while we waited.

Ok, but could have been...
Liked: The room was clean and good size. The mattress was firm to our liking. Many hotel mattresses are much too soft.
Disliked: The hotel is having staffing problems. Basically they can't keep staff or attract new staff. The front desk person was running between this hotel and the Howard Johnson's across the street because she did not have enough help. She said it has been this way since the summer which in a resort area is disturbing. There was only 1 bath towel in the room. Guests in other rooms around were smoking pot inside the room because we could smell it strongly. We alerted the desk person and she came to the room and smelled it too. She offered to move us to another room but did nothing about the guests that were obviously breaking hotel policy against smoking. Also because of staffing the continental breakfast that was included was across a busy 4 lane street at the above mentioned Howard Johnson's.
